Whats Important

At this time in my life a lot of things that were once important have changed greatly. In the begining of the year getting to college was important to me. I thought if I didn't get to college I wouldn't become anything in life. That I found out was completly wrong. College is no longer important the slightest bit. My grades in high school are less important to me as well. I only do work in two classes. The classes I need to pass in order to walk and get my dipoloma. When I do get my dipoloma I'm set. My life will work out without the need for college.

Something that will always be important to me is my dad. No matter what he will always be the most important thing in my life. Nothing means more to me then having a good relationship with my dad even when we are not seeing eye to eye. My dad has gave me the world and I don't take that for granted. My dad will always be there for me and I will always be there for him. Nothing could happen to change that. That is something is an importance that will never fade away from my life.

There is only two more things that are important to me beside those two things. That would be my crew and money. Two things that I know will never betray me. My friends are everything to me. They are all my brothers in so many different way. Two of my best friends are joining the marines with me and one of them is in the buddy system with me. They will always be by my side even when we are war. They would do anything for me in a heartbeat and I wouldn't hesitate to do the same for them. Through thick and thin they have been there for me. Gave me food when i had nothing to eat, a place to sleep when I had no where to go. Possibly saved my life from whatever trouble I would of got myself in to. Money is also very important to me and always will be, If you know me you know i love money. Money makes the world go around and I want to be the one spinning it. Money never lies, cheats, stabs you in the back, screws you over. The more you have that much better of a life you have. So money is defenetly something that will remain important to me for the rest of my life.

Defining Courage

Courage is a word that books could be written on. I remember doing an essay in 8th grade about the definition of courage. A definition that could be debated on with no end.Is courage stopping someone stealing someones purse, or is that idiotic for risking injury? Is courage dying for your country, or is that stupidity for dying so young? Is the defenition for courage the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, pain, etc without fear, with bravery? Is the defention of courage the heart as the source of emotion? The defenition of courage is different for every person.

Courage could be many things from big to little . Courage could be having a baby at the age of 18 and deciding to raise it. Not taking the easy way out and surviving through the rough times. Working two jobs to support your kid and wife. Buying your first house at the age of 20 before you even bought yourself your own car. In my mind that is one of the most courageous thing a person can do. In that case they were barely an adult and they had courage. You do not need to be an adult to have courage. Courage is not something you learn overtime. Courage is believing in something right and doing it no matter what the risks are.

In my mind anyone protecting our country has courage. I never really payed that much respect to people who have protected our country. In my recent change of mind in signing a contract to protect our country my eyes have be opened to how much courage they have. They are willing to die for our country, for what is right. When i got sworn into the marines I had to sign a bunch of papers. One of these papers I had to fill out was the planning of my funereal if I am to die. Who would be in charge of running my death. Who gets all of what I worked for that I no longer need. Right after that we put our hands up saying, " I do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that i will bear truefaith and allegiance to the same. Saying you will die for your country in my mind is not stupidity, it takes a lot of courage.

I do not believe there is a true definition to courage. I believe courage that something that comes at certain times in everyones lives. Courage is something that can not be defined in words but shown by example. So in my mind the examples I gave you is my best way of defining courage.

Earliest Memories

My memory as a child is a big blurr. When i was real young there is only one remembery that I can remember clear as day. The only one I do remember is one of me falling down the stairs. I don't remember exactly how old i was but i remember my dad was suppose to be watching me while my mom went downstairs to do the laundry. My dad passed out and I wanted to be by my mom. So i grabbed my 3 wheeler and went to find her. I decided to try and ride my 3 wheeler down a flight of 20 stairs. It defenetly did not work out i tumbled down them and hit the concrete hard. That is the only memory that is embedded in my brain from my childhood. It is weird that the only thing i can remember is a bad memory.

Some of my other memories or mostly just the picture. Like I remember that I went to disney land but I couldn't tell you what rides i went on, or what we did while we were there. The only thing I remember is I was there. The memory of my falling down the stairs on the other hand I remember everything. I remember my mom putting me on the couch next to my dad as he was laying down and saying " Get up John I'm going to do the laundry. You better not fall asleep and make sure Tyler doesn't follow me". I remember being at the top of the stairs and pausing, looking down them and deciding to do it anyway. I remember my moms face as I was coming down them. I also remember how bad my mom started bugging out on my dad for doing exactly what she said not to do. The thing I can't remember though is if i was badly hurt or not. I don't understand how the brain can remember an entire part of a memory but forget an important part of it. Besides that memory i can't remember anything until i started getting into sports when i wsa 5 or 6.

Design a Curriculum

After being in Central Regional High School for the past 4 years I have always preached about how horrible this school is. I always preached about how it could be made better and how the flaws in our system are terrbile. How unjustied the punishments are for doing nothing wrong at all. So if i were to design a curriculum i know exactly how it would be ran. Everything would be so much different then how this school is set up. This school is set up for failure and i know how to change that.

As for class scheduling goes. In high school it would defenetly be different then how it is now. Math, english, and history will obviously stay. Math is everywhere you go and you need to know how to spell and all that good stuff. And what is a country if it doesnt know it's past? Science would be an elective in Sansone High. Like come on when will 90% of us every need anything we have ever learned in science? So it would be an elective so people who do want to use it in their life can take it. There would be no spanish and other languages as classes. This is america where we speak English, want to know another language go to another country. Art and music and all the practical arts would remain electives for inspiring yourng artist at Sansone High. Gym would defenetly still be manidtory. No one wants a bunch of fat overweight unhealthy kids running around. Also I would add classes. Classes that teach you about life and how to get ready when you graduate. Like balancing check books, doing taxes, how to manage money stuff like that. Nothing really teaches us the street smarts. School is all about book smarts and thats like only teaching us half of what we need to know. Street smarts is very important to survive the real world.

As for disiplining students it would be done entirely differently. My school would be like college. If you do not come to class or school its your loss. You will be the one failing. There would be no 1hours, 2 hours, 3 and half hours. If you are late to school there would be no punishment. You could of not came at all but you decided to come and learn for the rest of the day. In my school everyone would be treated equally. So everyone gets the same punshiment for the same actions. It's not fair that one kid gets nothing for being late and another kid gets a 2 hour detention for being late. There would be no to many days out you don't graduate non sense. Like i said before if you don't come to school its your choice. It is your responsibility to make up missed work for all your classes.

Importance of Music

Music in my life is very important. It is apart of my everyday life. No matter where I am I always have my ipod with me fully charged. Music sets the tone to my day, I feel if i start my day listening to music that gets me hyped it will bring up my day. Things go faster when I'm listening to my ipod. In music i don't just listen to one thing. I listen to the lyrics, the meaning to the song and the beat behind it. I like songs that have meaning to their words not just a bunch of words that rhyme but make no sense.

Music is so much more than just a backround noise. Music can do crazy things. Music can get you amped for the moment. Like before i play floor hockey I'm always bumping to DMX to get me ready to go nuts. It brings up my game, it makes me a better player. I get more into the game. When I'm having a horrible day and nothing seems to help, it seems like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong i just play some music. Put some Bob Marley or Sublime on to chill me out pick my mood up. Music is almost like a drug in a way. When i don't have my ipod with me i feel a little lost, especially in school. My ipod has the ablitily of helping me ignore people or zone out when i need to. Everyone has that day that they just don't want to be bothered, so my ipod helps me get through that. Music is especially good when your around someone who won't shut up and keeps going on you just throw on your ipod and ignore them.

Music is very inspirational. The type of music I listen to is a lot about coming from nothing and making into something. From rags to riches as some say. If you listen to the lyrics it is crazy how some people can make something so good out of a situation that was so bad. That inspires me a lot. It tells me that if i try and put my mind to something it can be mine. I also listen to music that relates to my life. Those are the songs that I listen to the most. When it comes to genres of music i like them all. I keep my ears open to everything. I just don't listen to rap and hate everything else. I listen to some country, rock, rap, techno you name it I'll listen to it. My favorite would have to be rap though. Nothing like bumping some Biggie or Tupac sitting back chilling at your crib.

Wisdom, defined

Wisdom is not about how good your grades are or what college you go to. Getting all A's at Harvard doesn't mean you are a wise person. You don't have wisdom if you rise to the top of a corparation. If you rise to the top of your company you work for it means you are a hard worker and must be pretty good at your job.

Wisdom is something else. No test can tell if you have wisdom. You can not study wisdom. Wisdom is something that people have when they have been through a lot. That's why everyone thinks old people have wisdom because they have been on this world longer and have seen and been through so much. Having wisdom doesn't necessisarly mean you have to be old. You can go through a lot at a younger age to have wisdom. I think everyone is wise. Everyone has been through something that someone hasn't before and they know how to handle that situation. So in some situations everyone can have wisdom.

If i would consider anyone wise it would have to be my dad. He is 35 years old. I consider him wise because any problem or situation i come by he has an answer for. It seems like he has lived my life and some. No matter what question i ask my dad he will always have an answer for me. Every piece of advice he has given me has never let me down. No matter who i meet in this world my dad will still be the wisest person i know

Strategies for Avoiding conflict

Aruguments and disagreements happen every day of everyones life pretty much. This is because no one shares the same exact point of view of everything. So conflicts and arguments happen easily. Everyone has a different of solving them. Some ignore them, some come straight with them, others apologize.

When i come across an argument or disagreement i have different ways of handling them. If i am arguing with someone, whether it be a friend or my dad, and I'm right im going to stand my ground. I won't back down until i get my point across to them. If the situation was i was wrong in the argument and it gets to far I will admit I was wrong. Sometimes when I argue with someone who I know never likes to be wrong I don't bother fighting over it because no matter what you say the are right. Like parents for instance. Whether they are completly at fault they are never at fault and it took me 17 years to finally realize this. So now when i disagree with my dad or argue with one of my parent i just apologize and leave it.

There has been many of times when i hang out with my friends I witness conflicts and i see whose right and whose acually wrong. When it comes to that I'll stay out of it. If it's not my problem then I shouldn't be getting involved. When you get involved words get twisted around and then next thing you know you're in the middle of the argument. So i choose to stay out of it unless one of my friends or someone has the wrong information in a situation then I will clear it up for them.

Visit a historical time

Looking back in history it is hard to decide where i would want to go back in time to. The 70's seemed so laid back and fun all the time. Cops didn't harrase you. Everyone seemed to be more friendly. I would also like to visit ancient Rome and witness how they built a masterpiece. If I had to choose a time from going back from a long distance it would be in 1776.

I would want to witness everything that lead up to the making of America. I would want to see how a bunch of farmers broke away from England. How they beat the best Army and the best Navy in the world. I would love to watch how they fought back then. Shoulder to shoulder staring down thousands of barrels a 100 ft away. Cannons going off behind them crashing into your front lines. Teams of snipers in the woods shooting generals of war. I think it is insane how a brand new country beat the British. I think witnessing that would be a crazy thing to experience.

If I had to choose from a short distance ago to go back and visit I would visit the bootlegging days. I think watching mobsters and smugglers bring in illegal alcohol. The Kennedys were one of the most wealthiest families. All their money was made from bootlegging alcohol. That is mind blowing to me. I would like to meet Al Capone and see what Bayville looked like back then. I would also like to see where he put the hidden money that no one has found. I would then come back to the future and take it!

Advice to a Younger self

I have made many of mistakes in the past. Who hasn't? I try to go everyday with no regrets, no what if i did that? What if i didn't do this? What if i talked to that girl? No one is perfect though and it's almost impossible to live life without any what ifs. If i had a machine to go back in time and give myself advice I would fix so many mistakes.
First time i would go back to is recently. I stopped going over my one best friends house for about a month or two. We were still friends but i just never had time to go over there. His mom and dad treated me like a son. If i had no where to sleep they would let me stay there. If i had nothing to eat they would give me food until i was full. They did alot for me. I was very close with his mom she loved me like a son and she was like a second mom to me. When i stopped going there i never stopped by to say hi to her. I didn't ask how she was doing. I couldn't remember the last time i seen her. If i could go back and give myself advice I would tell myself to go there and see her for one last time. She passed away and I couldn't even remember the last time i seen her and it was very upsetting to me.
Another thing I would go back and give myself advice on is school. From 1st grade all the way to sophomore year of high school i had amazing grades. I never got one C on a report card all those years. My grade point average was 3.5 starting off in high school. I was told my sophmore year if i kept my grades how they are(which in central is pretty easy) I would be able to go to rutgers. My SAT scores were 1200 I was set to go to college. Well junior year i started slipping up and all my grades crashed and that continued into my senior year. I would go back and tell myself to nto slip up and just do the work no matter how of a hassle it is.

Balance of Nature

The balance of nature is a crazy system. One little thing off setting it could kill everything off. The balance of nature works like this, insects eat plants to stay alive. Animals then eat the insects to stay alive and healthy. Then the humans eat the animals for food. Land gives us nutrients for food and a place to keep our feet. What keeps this all in balance is a never ending chain. As long as this chain doesn't stop the world keeps moving and working. If the chain does stop then we are all screwed.
The world is still in balance today but is slowly being ruined. We will probably never live to see the day it stops being in balance and the chain ends, but our kids kids kids may be unfortunate enough to see that day. As for whats knocking out of balance it's a simple answer. Humans. We are the cause to all problems! In the balance of nature we are the part that ruins it. We pollute the air with so much stuff that we have actually put a whole in our ozone layer. We are slowly causing global warming. We destroy the trees that give us the air we need to breath for our wants not our needs. There are many different options we can use to make paper but we decide to cut down trees instead. When we ripp down forest we kill animals and take their homes from them. So many animals are becoming extinct because of us. What happens when the kill off an animal that was apart of the food chain. Then they die and what ate them eventually dies then so on and so on. We pollute our waters by dumping garbage in them. We spill oil in the water we drink. It is like we dont care about the world we live in. The world to humans is like a house to a family. Instead of keeping a clean safe house, we trash it and leave it and eventually it will be unsafe to live in.

Distribution of Wealths.

In every society in the world there is always 2 classes. The wealthy and the poor. In some countries there is a middle class like in America. No matter what you do there will never be a way to eliminate this. The middle class bust his hump to earn every dollar he can get to get by and the goverment takes and takes. When the economy dropped who do you think it affected? The people with millions of dollars? No they stayed rich or possibly got even richer from it. It affects the middle class and the lower class. They are the ones who get cut from their jobs. They are the one who takes a pay cut the affects their lives.
I don't think that in America it is as bad as in other countries. Certain countries your either filthy rich or dirt poor. In America we have a middle class. I don't think it's fair neccesarily that some people can be dirt poor and others have so much money they don't even know what to do with it. Thats how life works though. Either the rich earned their money or someone in their family earned it and they are lucky enough to inherit it.
There is no sytem possible to devise things. A system was invented to get rid of social classes. It was called a communism. The goverment owns everything. This obvisouly didn't work out the way it was planned. So in the end there is a qoute that I think best describes this topic. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. That is how society has worked and will always work

Enough Vacation Time in the U.S.

People in our country do not get enough vacation time I think. My dad only got around a week during a certain time of the year to take days off. One week vacation out of 52 is not enough. Working 6 days a week for 51 weeks is rough on your body and on your head. People need time to get away from the same old thing otherwise they will snap.
One to two weeks vacation compared to four to six weeks is a big difference. With just one week a year you can't even go on vacation. My mom has a couple days a year where she calls out to do running around. Since she only has a week after those couple days she only has 4 vacation days left. What are you suppose to do with that? She can't even go on a vacation with her vacation days. Now if she had 4 to 6 weeks she could go on 4 different vacations. Which means she will be happier and more relaxed. If she is more relaxed and happy she will do better at her work. So the company will gain more if they give her a little more time to get away.
If family members had more vacation time things would change. I would get to go on vacations more often and be able to get away myself. My dad or my mom will probably be less tense everyday since they have time to relax which makes life easier for me. So in the end everyone makes out better with a little more vacation time each year.

Unlimted Travel

If someone gave me an unlimted amount of money and a plane for 3 months there are so many things i would do. The world would be mine! I would go to Cali, because nothing beats Cali. Next I think i would travel the world. I would want to go to Japen. I would want to go to so many tropical islands. Everyone that exists I would go to. I would defenetly go to Hawaii, my grandpa went there and said it was amazing. Amsterdam would be on my lists of spot to go. Italy just to see where my roots are from, plus there is no drinking age there. I would go to Jamica and check out the rastafarians. I would defenetly want to go to Egypt and climb a pyramid that would be fun. I would want to check out Granada because they have some crazy looking cities. I would go to Ireland and try to out drink an Irish drunk. Also I would go to vegas so i can stay in the nicest suite and hotel there.
I really wouldnt want to visit in the country to much. I can go to any state anytime i want if ihave a car. I would want to travel places that i never thought i would be able to see. Flying is expensive so i would want to rack up the most cash i can while I had an unlimted amount.
I would defenetly have the nicest hotel and nicest suites known to man.

Too Much Homework

My opinion on homework is we get to much of it. We sit in school for 6 hours a day and then we have to go home and still do homework from school. We get home at 2 and then I'm stuck doing homework for a couple hours. It's not fair we sit in school for a quarter of our day to learn we don't need more time after school when were out to learn more. Homework should be completed in school on the schools time for teaching us. Not on our time to hang out with our friends. Then when we get 2 days off im stuck with 2 days worth of homework. So now on top of working on the weekend i have to do more work from school.
I remember when my cousins were in high school and i was in elementary school and they never had the amount of homework that we have today. That probably had half of the amount. It's hard to balance working, playing sports, hanging out with my friends and trying to do homework. Theres been nights where i was up to 2 in the morning completing an essay. The nthe next day i was to tired to learn in school. So the amount of homework affected my learning.
Honestly i don't learn from homework at all. I just do it to get it done so I won't fail. I don't do it to learn. My way of learning is by watching someone do it or show it. I'm a hands on learner. So doing something on a piece of paper by myself doesn't help teach me.
Essays and reports i do often leave to the last day. I do this because i have homework everyday and i need to get that done first because it is always due sooner. Then when the essay is close to being do i start on it.
